4.1. Materials

4.2. U-bolt and inserts
We’ll need to cut a u-bolt in half for this step, which I did with a hacksaw. I also show how to drill out a 5/16 hole that one of the ends will fit into to do the clamping.

4.3. Clamp bar
The clamp bar is a couple pieces of wood stacked and glued together. I marked where my u-bolts need to be drilled out, drilled then out at a 1/2″ and then glued both pieces together.
